Example density plot

Density plots are used to present data in the Data Navigator for Schools dashboard.

They are used to show the distribution of the benchmark data along a continuous scale. Where the density is greater, the more schools there are at that point along the scale.

The three horizontal lines in the density plot show the following:

Line colour Meaning
Purple Where the value of the data item for your school lies in the density plot.
Green Where the median value from the benchmark group lies in the density plot.
Red/Orange Where the mean value from the benchmark group lies in the density plot.
