Density plots are used to present data in the Data Navigator for Schools dashboard.
They are used to show the distribution of the benchmark data along a continuous scale. Where the density is greater, the more schools there are at that point along the scale.
The three horizontal lines in the density plot show the following:
| Line colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Purple | Where the value of the data item for your school lies in the density plot. |
| Green | Where the median value from the benchmark group lies in the density plot. |
| Red/Orange | Where the mean value from the benchmark group lies in the density plot. |
