This plot shows the distributions of total expenditure with the option to look at:

Dropdown control

1. Total amount, which is the total expenditure, calculated as described here.

2. Percentage (%) of net fees, calculated as total expenditure divided by Net fee income.

3. Expenditure per pupil, calculated as total expenditure divided by the total number of pupils. The total number of pupils is calculated from survey question 13. Number of pupils by boarding type as at 31 August.
